Cosmetic Dentistry

A rapidly emerging field of dentistry is referred to as cosmetic dentistry. In cosmetic dentistry, the emphasis is on improving the patient’s smile through changing the appearance of the teeth and mouth. Many people view cosmetic dental practices as being elective treatments – as opposed to necessary dental treatments – but having a beautiful, engaging smile and feeling secure in one’s appearance can make people feel better about themselves and lead to a fuller, happier life.

How Cosmetic Dentistry Works

Cosmetic dentistry is the best way to improve your smile, whether you’ve missing or damaged teeth, gaps between your teeth, or your teeth have been discolored or stained. Your cosmetic dentist in Wenatchee will offer all of their services in their comfortable dental office; you don’t need to worry about being referred to additional specialists. This means Dr. Anderton will be overseeing and performing your cosmetic dental procedures, in a manner that is convenient to your schedule.

With state-of-the-art cosmetic dentistry procedures, Wenatchee cosmetic dentist Dr. Anderton will work to save as much of your existing tooth structure as possible. This saves you money, preserves your teeth, and eliminates the need for more invasive dental procedures.

Cosmetic Dentistry Treatments

There are currently many cosmetic dentistry procedures available. Among these are:

  • Composite Bonding – replaces the broken, chipped, and discolored parts of teeth through the use of a special composite material. Dental Implants – used to replace missing teeth, dental implants are artificial tooth root replacements.
  • Dental Veneers – adhesively bonded to the surface of a tooth or teeth to cover gaps, cracks, and chips in existing teeth and also to improve the color of the teeth.
Inlays or Onlays – inlays are also called indirect fillings; they are a long-lasting type of filling that is added to teeth with tooth decay or other structural damage.
  • Teeth Whitening – the most commonly recommended and practiced cosmetic dental procedure, tooth whitening removes stains on teeth; the cosmetic procedure can be performed at home or in your cosmetic dentist’s office.

    Dear Anderton Family Dental Patients,

I know that you all are thinking about safety during the current coronavirus spread. I am writing today not to alarm you, but to put you more at ease in knowing the steps we are taking at Anderton Family Dental to keep you safe and healthy. The virus is likely to cause only mild symptoms in most of us, but it is crucial that we all do our part in preventing its spread.

    CLEANING AT “Anderton Family Dental“:

We have obtained a list of disinfectants the PA has approved that can kill COVID-19 and we will be using those to clean rooms in between patients. We will be thorough in cleaning the rooms between each patient using these disinfectants to reduce the risk of exposure. Also, following strict sterilization practices and disposable items for your safety and health. We use room filtration/infrared cleaners for air purification. Practitioners and staff will be checking themselves for fever or symptoms and will take time away from the clinic as warranted.

    VISITING “Anderton Family Dental“:

Please wear a mask when not in the dental chair. Please wash your hands upon arrival. We will have hand sanitizer at the entry or you can use the athroom sink to wash with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds.

Please stay home if you have a dry cough, shortness of breath or have had a fever in the past 14 days. Inform your doctor of your symptoms.

LIFESTYLE AND SUPPLEMENTS TIPS TO BOOST IMMUNITY

Maintain healthy lifestyle habits. Sleep deprivation, stress, excess alcohol or caffeine all decrease immune function. Set yourself up for success with good self-care. Nourish your body with healthy whole foods and drink plenty of fluids.

Consider stocking up on healthful pantry items such as frozen veggies and berries, frozen meats, poultry and fish, bone broth, soup, nuts, seeds, canned beans, grains, and teas in case you need to spend an extended time at home.

Thanks in advance for your understanding and patience as we navigate implementing best practices during this time. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Be well and enjoy your day!

    RESPECTFULLY, Dr Anderton and Team
