Restorative Dentistry

Restorative Dentistry

Restorative dentistry is the treatment and rehabilitation of function and aesthetics of your teeth. It restores the function, health and integrity of your teeth. The structural damage or loss typically results from caries or external trauma.

People lose teeth for a variety of reasons, including periodontal disease, decay, excessive tooth wear, physical trauma or even an eating disorder. Whatever the cause, losing a tooth can be very distressing. Missing teeth can affect the way you look, eat and talk. It can cause loss of self-confidence, as well. Gaps due to missing teeth can cause adjacent teeth to shift, destabilizing your bite. With modern dental procedures such as dental implants, dentures, veneers and bridges, there’s no excuse to go through life with missing teeth.

When treated by a highly-trained and experienced dentist such as Dr. Mark Anderton, restorative dentistry can achieve exceptional results. Learn more about Dr. Anderton's restorative dentistry treatments, or contact Anderton Family Dental at (509) 662-1648 to schedule an appointment.

    Dear Anderton Family Dental Patients,

I know that you all are thinking about safety during the current coronavirus spread. I am writing today not to alarm you, but to put you more at ease in knowing the steps we are taking at Anderton Family Dental to keep you safe and healthy. The virus is likely to cause only mild symptoms in most of us, but it is crucial that we all do our part in preventing its spread.

    CLEANING AT “Anderton Family Dental“:

We have obtained a list of disinfectants the PA has approved that can kill COVID-19 and we will be using those to clean rooms in between patients. We will be thorough in cleaning the rooms between each patient using these disinfectants to reduce the risk of exposure. Also, following strict sterilization practices and disposable items for your safety and health. We use room filtration/infrared cleaners for air purification. Practitioners and staff will be checking themselves for fever or symptoms and will take time away from the clinic as warranted.

    VISITING “Anderton Family Dental“:

Please wear a mask when not in the dental chair. Please wash your hands upon arrival. We will have hand sanitizer at the entry or you can use the athroom sink to wash with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds.

Please stay home if you have a dry cough, shortness of breath or have had a fever in the past 14 days. Inform your doctor of your symptoms.

Maintain healthy lifestyle habits. Sleep deprivation, stress, excess alcohol or caffeine all decrease immune function. Set yourself up for success with good self-care. Nourish your body with healthy whole foods and drink plenty of fluids.

Consider stocking up on healthful pantry items such as frozen veggies and berries, frozen meats, poultry and fish, bone broth, soup, nuts, seeds, canned beans, grains, and teas in case you need to spend an extended time at home.

Thanks in advance for your understanding and patience as we navigate implementing best practices during this time. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Be well and enjoy your day!

    RESPECTFULLY, Dr Anderton and Team
